How to Embed Links in WordPress.

So you have a Website or blog, and you are an Affiliate, so you need to embed some Affiliate Links into WordPress.

This can be pretty confusing, I know that I was pulling out my hair trying to figure out how to embed Affiliate Links when I first started; so without a lot of talk; let's get into this.

First, let's go over the easiest links to embed: Text Links.

Let's say for example you would like to turn some text into a clickable link. All that you need to do is choose the text you'd like to link, highlight it, and then click the little chain icon shown in the picture above. You'll be taken to this screen:

Notice that in the 'URL' section, I've typed in "http://example.com", Below there is a check box that gives you the option to have the link open in a new window (this means people can click the link and visit it without having to leave your site or blog).

Click 'Add Link' and you're set. Your text will now be a clickable link.

Now onto something a bit more annoying, adding banner links.

The first thing you're going to want to do is choose your banner, for this example I'll be adding a HostGator banner to my page.

Notice in the picture above, that I have 'Visual' and 'Text' Highlighted. In order to embed our banner, we're going to have to go from 'Visual' Mode, to 'Text' or html mode. Click the 'Text' box, and you'll be taken here:

You'll notice that in Text mode, there are a lot of weird characters, and code; but for our purposes let's disregard that. Find an open space where you'd like your banner to be, and paste it's link into the page. Once you've pasted your banner, simply click back to 'Visual' mode and viola!

You now have a clickable banner link, and can send viewers and readers to your affiliates.

A quick note about banner links:

Some banners can not be viewed by folks who use AdBlock programs. If your banners aren't showing up, try disabling your AdBlock software and refreshing the page.

I hope this has helped new Affiliate Marketers and Bloggers to learn how to monetize their blogs or websites.

Cheers,

A Successful Mindset.

As Entrepreneurs, we need to work towards a goal. Regardless of your Business Venture, you have to have your eye on the prize in order to succeed.

The road to success is littered with the tombstones of those who began down the same road that you're on, and gave up. One week in there are only a few tombstones, One month in there are even more.

This should inspire you, because you got further than these people. But even so, you're not looking to get further than anyone, you're looking to finish.

When I got into Affiliate Marketing, I had a simple goal; Make $1 Online. I remember launching my first Website and working every morning before I had to leave to my 9 to 5. When I got home, I worked even more.

It took me three weeks and numerous hours to make my first commission, but instead of $1 I made $4.50. Four Dollars and Fifty Cents is not much money, for my efforts I had managed to make 6 cents an hour. At this point the thought of quitting was bouncing around in my head.

Then I stopped and thought about a guy by the name of Thomas Edison.

In School, young Thomas Edison couldn't excel. By the time the rest of his peers were reading, Thomas was learning to speak. By the time his peers could read and write, he was still trying to read.

This slow progress ended up in his eventual removal from School, his Teacher couldn't have this kid slowing down the betterment of his peers.

Sent home, and not going to School anymore, Edison's Parents sent him off to work. Bad idea, he was fired time and time again.

When Edison turned 21, something changed. He figured out what he wanted to do, and began working tirelessly to do it. He could always fix things, but in addition to fixing them, he was interested in making them better.

After more than 1,000 attempts at making a Light Bulb, in 1879, at the age of 32, the bulb finally lit.

If you're after financial independence, and a steady income on your own terms, I promise you that it isn't going to be easy. Promises of getting rich fast, or without any effort are just lies and scams.

You're going to fall on your ass time in and time out, but if you persist and bounce back up when others quit, you'll accomplish what they didn't, and get further they ever will.

Second by second, you're losing the opportunity to become the person you want to be. Don't waste time being discouraged, stay on your grind and work until you accomplish your goals.

Nootropics For Increased Productivity

Focus, Memory, Cognitive Function.

All of these things play vital roles in Business. From coordinating our Marketing Strategies to remembering tasks and dates, brain power is mandatory in operating a successful business.

Just about everybody wants to improve their memory and concentration to help them get rid of the brain fog they experience from time to time. What if a small dose of an organic compound could help accomplish this?

Sounds bogus, doesn't it?
My journey with Nootropics started with a product called Alpha Brain. I had heard from friends and Clients that this stuff (while expensive) was helping them to Work more efficiently, concentrate better, pass tests easier, and focus. This piqued my interest to say the least, but I was very skeptical thinking it was probably just a Placebo Effect. That being said, I was willing to give it a try because I could use improvements in these areas.

Between work, school, being a Blogger, Website Owner and everything else life throws at me, A little edge would be very well appreciated in my life.

The results came very quickly. I highly doubted the claims made by everyone, and even despite that, I was feeling more coordinated and explaining difficult concepts to clients became much easier.

The problem with Alpha Brain is that it's Expensive. For those who are better off than I am, this isn't a concern and the product is well worth it, but I was after something less expensive and equally effective.

This journey led me through numerous sources of research, I read article after article. Scientific study after Double-Blind test and I ended up with a small list of Nootropics that I was going to price check.

Piracetam: This is known as the Father of all Nootropics as it was the first introduced to the Market. There is no doubt that it works and it works well. Piracetam works by increasing the activity of neurotransmitters within the brain. Because of this, it improves mental performance, memory retention, and coordination. Some Countries are exploring the use of Piracetam to reverse the symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease. Compared with $1.50 a pill for Alpha Brain, Piracetam can be had for .50 cents for an entire days worth.

Noopept: Noopept was discovered in Russia in the early 90's, and is a peptide. Peptides are naturally occurring Biological Molecules that are made up of Amino Acids. Noopept is a very fascinating Nootropic in that it seems to do everything that other Nootropics can, only on a milder scale. The other thing about Noopept that sets it apart from the competition is the price. It's extremely inexpensive. 5 cents a day inexpensive. While Noopept is more mild per dose than Piracetam, it's dose is 10 mg three times daily, while Piracetam doses at 10-20g three times daily. Stated otherwise, the dose is 1,000 times smaller.

5-HTP : When used as a Nootropic, 5-htp is great for improving mood and relieving stress. It is extracted from Griffona Seed and is all natural. Our bodies regularly make 5-htp from Trytophan found in Eggs, Milk and other foods we eat. 5-htp is metabolized into Seretonin, which is what makes us happy. I use 5-htp before interviews, exams and also when I can't sleep.

Using Nootropics has taken my Business Ventures to the next level. And while I'm not a Doctor or a Pharmacist, I know a good product when I find one.

Hostgator Review.

Choosing a good host can make or break a Website.

In the Internet Age, having a quality Website is a must for an Entrepreneur, so the last thing you want is a Website Hosting Service that crashes constantly, glitches, and doesn't offer enough services.

Hostgator Hostgator Hostgator has been in the game for a long time, and are notorious for good service. Started in 2002 in a College Dormitory, the company has had a long time to iron out any of the glitches that exist with other hosting services.

Let's go over a few things that separate Hostgator from some of the competition.

Options

Unlike many other hosts that only offer 1 hosting plan, Hostgator Hostgator offers 3.

Hatchling Plan is a plan set up for users who only want 1 website. This is the least expensive plan of them all, and is great for beginners.

Baby Plan is, in my estimation, the best value offered by Host Gator. For less than 10 bucks a Month, the Baby Plan offers Website Owners the ability to host an unlimited amount of websites for the same price.

Business Plan is the cream of the crop. Features include a Private SSL, a free hosting IP and a toll free business number with 100 minutes of talk time included. You'll pay a little bit more for this option, but for some it's well worth it.

And for the folks who can't decide which plan they want, Hostgator Hostgator gives them the option of upgrading for free if ever they want to bump up a notch for more services.

Coupon Codes: As if the price wasn't low enough already, HostGator offers codes to get discounts on the best hosting on the market. Use code easysites01 to get your first month for 1 penny!

Lightning Fast Servers. Hostgator servers are unparalleled when it comes to speed. With up times well in excess of 99%, you don't have to worry about your site dropping any time soon. This is great Peace of Mind if you need your site to be ready to view at all times.

Domains:

In addition to Hosting, Hostgator also offers domains. The ability to purchase .net, .com, .org and other domains means you have options if the name you want for your site is taken. It also means you can buy a domain, and host with the same Company, which is pretty convenient.

My experience with Hostgator has been a pleasant one, and I've been using them for years. This company really is the cream of the crop when it comes to hosting.

So if you're serious about building a quality website, head over to Hostgator.com HostGator and use the Coupon Code easysites01 to get your first month of Hosting for 1 cent.

Cheers,

Make Money On Pinterest!

In the game of Affiliate Marketing, lots of people use Social Media to get their links out to a large audience.

Trouble is, it seems like 90% of them focus all of their efforts on Facebook, Google + and Twitter. There are other ways to make money online, and Pinterest is like the Sleeping Giant amongst them.

A quick look through people's Boards and you'll see that they post Shoes, Electronics and Gadgets, Home Decor and a ton of other things. All without monetizing any of it.

This presents a great opportunity for Affiliate Marketers, as you can post all of the same things (and more), the only difference being when someone buys a product you've posted, you'll get a commission.

An added benefit of this is that when you post products on your board, you'll look exactly like anyone else on Pinterest.

So why in the hell not?

I have a rule that has served me well. I'll upload and fill two boards with original content, and the third will be Affiliate Links. This helps Affiliate Marketers to blend in with the rest  of the crowd.

So how does it work?

You're not going to make any money unless you can get a following, and the good news is that getting one isn't difficult.

Above is a Screen-Cap of my Pinterest page. You can see that I've been able to get a respectable amount of followers, but what if I told you I did this in less than two weeks?

I didn't use any apps, or software because you don't have to. All that you have to do to get a Pinterest following is to find a big, niche related page and follow the people who are following it.

You want to build a decent sized profile with pins before you start fishing for followers. I'd recommend at least 6 boards, all with a few pins. A good title accompanied by an eye-catching picture and you're on your way.

You can also use your Pinterest to link people to your site, a clickable link can be inserted into the header of your board.

Making Affiliate Sales, drawing traffic to your Site and getting your name out there are all great things; but it doesn't stop there.

Each time you post a pin, you can link it to your Website or Blog. When a person re-pins your pin, you have now created a Back Link that will help you rank in Google.

If you follow the steps I've shown you in this article, you can get massive amounts of followers, traffic to your site, and potentially a lot of sales!

How To Build A Profitable Niche Website in WordPress.

The Marketplace is changing.

Fewer and fewer people run to the local Department Store when they want to make a purchase; With the rise of Online Marketing, these people now have the option of going to Amazon, or eBay and with a few clicks of their mouse they have what they want headed to their front door.

The selection of Merchandise online is nearly limitless, so why not make money at home by promoting some of these products?

We've been over Making A Website now let's discuss how to monetize one.

The first thing you're going to want to do is find a Niche. For the purpose of this post, let's suppose an entrepreneur is really interested in playing guitar. He knows a thing or two about guitars, guitarists, guitar parts; a niche site about guitars would be a good choice for him.

Making a site about 'Guitars' in general wouldn't be the best choice, because that niche is too competitive. He'd be competing against a ton of well established sites that are on the first page of Google Search Results and are there to stay.

Instead, a more specific Niche like Guitar Chords, or Guitar Restoration would be a better fit. Fewer people type these terms into Google, which means his site will have an easier time ranking (showing up in the first page of search results). More on ranking in Google in another post.

The next step is to find an affiliate program; and I'd recommend ShareASale. It's totally free to sign up, and with a few clicks you can get affiliate links and earn Commissions on anything you sell.

Once your site is approved, you'll now have access to Affiliate Home, where can find links to embed into your Site.

So our hypothetical guitarist is now a ShareASale Affiliate, now he can create content. If he writes an article on the top 10 best guitarists of all time, he can put links to these guitarist's albums, and each time a person clicks on his link and buys an album, he gets a commission.

As you can imagine, the better the content, the more interested people will become. They'll want to share it with their friends, send it to their co-workers etc. All of these people could potentially earn you money.

Our guitarist could then write an article on the 10 best guitars on the market, and partner with a guitar merchant on ShareASale. He can now link to the guitars, and earn commissions when they sell. Again, if the quality of the content is high, it will generate interest and ultimately, sales.

It almost sounds too good to be true; but it isn't. So get started today and start making money online.

How to Build A Website In Under An Hour.

Designing a Website can sound like a very daunting task for most people. Especially making a website that is profitable.

Fortunately
, long gone are the days where you had to be an HTML Wizard to make a functional, attractive site with a smooth interface. In this article I'll show you exactly how to set up a quality website in less than an hour.

The first consideration you're going to have to make is what you're going to want your website to be named. This is going to determine the domain name. Once you've found a suitable name, you're going to want to find out if the domain is available.

There are tons of domain 'dealers' out there, but in my experience, the best and least expensive is Host Gator.

In the example above, I'm checking the availability of 'sitesmadeeasy.com'. You'll notice that on the right hand side of the navigation bar there is a drop down menu. If the name you want isn't available in a '.com' you can check to see if a '.org' or '.biz' is available instead. As you can also see from the picture, you'll own this domain for an entire year for less than 13 bucks.

So what's next?

Now that you own your domain, the next thing you're going to need is hosting. As with domain listings, there are numerous options with regards to hosting. Everyone has heard of 'GoDaddy' but there are better options.

WP Engine is a Website Host that is awesome. They specialize in optimizing Word Press Sites, which is much more than a blogging format. They also ensure that the site never crashes, and offer a litany of perks and benefits.

Another good hosting option is Host Gator; if you choose them for both your domain and hosting, you have the added benefit of being able to manage both from the same site, and you won't have to worry about merging the two. If you decide to go with Host Gator for hosting, you can use the code:
easysites01 to get your first Month of Hosting for 1 cent.

Regardless of which you choose, let's proceed to the next step:

The Next Thing you're going to want to do is register the domain you just bought. In the case of Host Gator, you'll encounter this screen:

Notice that on the left, you have the option of registering a domain purchased from somewhere like GoDaddy or NameCheap. On the right, you can enter the domain you purchased from HostGator.

If you purchased a domain from a third party, you're going to need to merge your domain and your host.

This part can seem a little confusing to the beginner, but it isn't as confusing as you might think. The purpose of this transfer is to tell your Domain Server where your Host's Server is located. When you purchased hosting, the Hosting Company sent you an email. Check your inbox, and look for the 'DNS' codes, shown in the example below.

See the part that says: "1st Nameserver"? You'll want to copy and paste both the first and second name servers into the boxes provided in the picture before the one above.

Voila.

You have successfully created a raw website, but now it's time to make some content.

At this juncture, you're going to want to install WordPress to your Website. WordPress will give you the ability to use pre-existing themes, instead of having to code your own. Let's get started.

The first thing you're going to want to do is to log into Host Gator, or WP Engine using the user name and password you've created. This will give you access to your Control Panel, and more importantly, a huge variety of complimentary perks and services that are offered.

To access your Control Panel, go back to the same email that contained your Nameservers and find your User Name and Password.

Once you're in the Control Panel, you're going to want to find a program called 'Fantastico Deluxe' (coolest name ever). Here's what it looks like in Host Gator (you're going to have to scroll down a bit):

After you've clicked the smiley face, you will see a few options on the left hand side of the next page. Click 'Word Press' and you'll be taken the 'New Installation' button, and you'll be taken to this screen:

Skip the first box, and in the next enter a User Name and Password. Then fill in a Nickname, an Email Address, a Site Name, and finally a Website Description. These areas can bee seen in the image below (poorly) outlined in Red.

If you went with WP Engine you'll already be set up, so you can skip this step.

After this, you'll be taken to your website and it will be set up in WordPress. If it isn't there, don't freak out. Sometime (for some strange reason) it won't be visible for 24 hours.

And now you're set, you can make money online and share your knowledge, art, or thoughts. In this day in age, everyone can do this.

Cheers!
